PRESIDENT S R Nathan has given his formal consent for the Government to draw on past reserves to finance part of the $20.5 billion economic package unveiled in January.
His decision was conveyed in two letters to the Speaker of Parliament Abdullah Tarmugi dated March 9.
The letters were released to the media yesterday. His decision was also announced in the electronic version of the Government Gazette the same day.
