Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Raja Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Ali bin Hj Awang Md Daud, president of Brunei Darussalam National Scouts Association, recently received the 'Silver Lion' Award from the Singapore Scouts Association at the Presidential palace.
The 'Silver Lion' Award was presented by Mr S R Nathan, the president of the Republic of Singapore in his capacity as the head of Singapore Scout Association.
The award honoured Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Raja Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Ali's contribution to young people through excellent service to the scout movement.
Also receiving the award were scout leaders of Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
The Silver Lion Award is conferred on adult leaders who have served the Association with great loyalty and whose contributions have made a significant impact on the Scout movement in Singapore.
Err... why give foreigners then???
Being a scout himself, no wonders he gives this award...
